Just because you’ve launched your business doesn’t mean clients will automatically start calling you or emailing you to hire you as their coach. Well, in real life, it doesn’t work that way. As a coach, you are responsible for your own business. You simply can’t expect people to come if you don’t have the strategy to lure them. Just like in fishing, if you don’t set bait, fishes aren’t going to swim towards your boat. Even if you have the talent, the passion and the knowledge to share, if no one knows about you or have heard about what you can do, it’s as if you didn’t exist.
Getting clients is not that difficult if you know the basics. Here are three easy steps that will help you get more coaching clients.
Firstly, offer them a free offer. Anything that’s for free, whether it’s a product or a service, will surely grab attention. Use this free offer as bait so you can get followers and then eventually turning them into paying clients. You could offer a free eBook, some videos or email sequences that allow your potential clients to get a glimpse of you, who you are, what you believe in, your values and so they’d have an idea how you can help them.
Secondly, offer them a free coaching session. In my Grow Your Coaching Biz Workshop, I offer a Discovery Session with my clients but if you don’t have that training, you could at least offer them a free coaching session so they can experience what it’s like to be coached. It’s also one way of knowing if this is the type of coaching they want, if they feel comfortable or if they can sense a connection with you. Offering a free session makes them more comfortable and more relaxed being with you so it’s not going to be difficult to convince them to sign up for the program.
Thirdly, once you’re already talking to these people, know exactly what you can offer them. Figure out the type of coaching system you want. Are you going to sign them up for six months or twelve months? Is it weekly? What is your package? Be clear on that so your clients will have full clarity on what they are getting from you. Doing so will help them decide if they should work further with you.
These are my three tips today. Create an offer, offer a free coaching session and offer them your coaching package.
