HappyChange is constant, the more we resist it the more life becomes tougher. We are surrounded by change and it is the one thing that has the most dramatic impact on our lives. Change has the ability to catch up with you at some point in your life. There is no avoiding it because it will find you, challenge you, and force you to reconsider how you live your life.

Change can break or make us, our reaction to it will determine our capacity to adapt in a new environment. Change can come into our lives as a result of a crisis, as a result of choice or by chance. We however cannot avoid the unexpected events and or crisis in our lives because it is these events that challenge our complacency in life. What we can control when we are experiencing these challenging events, is how we choose to respond to them. Here are six things you can do to change your life and be happy:

Create a Dream Board

As children we all have moments when we daydream all the time, we dream about what we will become in the future and the life we will have. Everything was possible. But as we grow into being adults, do you ever wonder why we lose our interest to dream? It became hidden and not spoken of until it remains silent.

Don’t stop dreaming! Put them in a board and in front of you so it can be brought to life. Seeing your dream board in front of you makes it more meaningful to work harder so you can achieve that dream. No matter how long it will take for that dream to happen, just don’t give up!

Say No to Regrets

Regrets will only hold you back in life. You cannot change what you did or did not do in the past, so let it go. The only thing you have control over now is how you choose to live your present and future life. What happened in your past will not define who you are today or in the future.

Do the Unthinkable!

Stepping out of your comfort zone is scary, it will cripple you to do things that have been waiting to be done and make you great! Make a list of the thigs you are too afraid to do, put them somewhere visible for you to read every day. Never stop doing scary things because if you do your life will become one of complacency and comfort.

Forgive and Accept Yourself

No matter what, people will always think of you short of who you actually are. People will judge you, will blame you, and throw painful words but never think that you deserve it. You may have made many mistakes in life but it should not hinder you from being a better person. Forgive and accept yourself, that’s the key.

Do not be affected by society’s perception of a successful person or a good person, perhaps. When you learn to forgive yourself from past mistakes, then true healing begins and acceptance is inevitable.

Lifestyle Change

Our physical, emotional, and spiritual state changes; as we get older we should be mindful of these. Living a balanced and healthy life builds our resilience to the physical changes of our body. Exercise is the best way in which we can attain a positive and optimistic attitude toward life.

Find Joy in Learning

Learning helps us to be more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking and we are therefore more comfortable with the unknown. To fully embrace the joy of learning, never stop reading nor searching for more knowledge. Learning gives our life meaning and this is what makes our life worthwhile.

So there are your six choices! Go about them and do them sincerely and you will find yourself happier, more confident, and be more successful in your life.
