Are you consistent and persistent in your business? A lot of people come to me and ask how I manage to keep my business successful and what I always tell them repeatedly is this, “You have to be consistent and persistent.” Obviously, if you are not making enough money in your business, then perhaps it is because you have not fully grasped the concept of consistency and persistency. This means that whatever it is you’ve started; you have to be consistent and persistent about it until it gets finished no matter the cost. True enough, this is easier said than done that is why a lot of people fail in this aspect. And it’s also the reason why they haven’t reached the pinnacle of their success yet.

There are no shortcuts to success and we all know that. If you want to “make it” you have to do whatever it takes to make your dream a reality. Now if you can remember, we’ve all been told that the fundamental part of making your business successful is hard work. Our parents taught us that hard work is all it takes to make us successful. But here’s what I think, I believe hard work is not enough. Working hard day in and day out does not guarantee success.

In order to reach success you have to do the following:

  • Do the smaller tasks consistently.
  • Be persistent in your drive to achieve your goals.

With these two combined you can be certain that sooner rather than later success will come knocking on your door. Success doesn’t just come from hard work alone. You have to practice consistency in what you do and persistence in what you want to achieve.

If you used to be successful in your business and now it’s all falling apart ask yourself “what happened?” What was it that you did before that made you a lot of money? Trace that and once you’ve identified what you did, the tasks you did, the practices you once adopted, do them now and do them consistently. Be persistent with your clients not in a way that annoys them but in a way that makes them remember you and keep you at the top of their minds.

Growing a business is one thing but flourishing a business is another and you need strategic planning to make sure that your business reaches success. The good news is that a lot of successful business owners already know how it’s done, all you need to do is to follow their steps. And one of the key secrets to their success is consistency and persistency. You can never go wrong with it.
