A lot of people come say, “I’m trying to do 101 things at once and I’m not getting anywhere.” There are four areas of your life where you can stay focused so you will move forward.
Firstly, the first one is mental. How’s your mental health and well-being? How is your mindset? What are you saying to yourself? What are your thoughts? Focus on what that is for you, what’s going on in your mental health and well-being.
Secondly, emotional. How are your emotions? Do you have unwarranted anger, frustration, or sadness? What emotion is coming up for you during the course of the day, week, or month?
Thirdly, physical. Are you getting out and moving? Are you doing exercise? Are you reaching your 10,000 steps per day? What are you doing to physically move and be active?
Fourthly, spiritual. This depends on what your belief is and what this means for you.
Draw a pie chart, a circle with some crosses in it, and put each of these headers around that pie chart. Then, rate yourself out of 10 for each of these and draw it into the pie chart. So, out of 10 means everything’s great – “I’m where I want to be,” but I really need to do some work on it and get honest with yourself about these four areas because all of them need attention. It’s just a matter of where you are in your life that requires more focus.
For example, if you sit in an office all day, your physical activity might be a one out of 10. Consider the steps or actions you need to take to get up and moving. Strategically work on these areas, and by addressing mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of yourself, you’ll see a dramatic increase and improvement in your business, life, relationships, and other areas of your world.
