What is the one thing that makes a great coach? This question is being asked a lot from the stage in forums, in workshops, in a virtual or live event. Some of the responses are: Being a good listener; being empathetic; having great strategies; having expertise; and having life experiences.

At my Grow Your Coaching Biz Workshop, we go through all of the things that make a great coach so we can make sure we’re ticking off the boxes for you to implement into your business. But the number one thing that makes a great coach is this:

A Great Coach Asks Great Questions

If you’re asking the right questions, then you will get answers that allows you to help that person at a deeper level. If you ask great questions, you’ll find out the root cause of their problem rather than the presenting problem they’re showing to you.

If you ask great questions, it allows them to open up to you; your clients or your potential clients; open up to you and really be honest with you about what’s going on for them. If you ask great questions, they will share with you information that they possibly have not shared with anyone else that will be pivotal in you helping them further.

If you ask great questions, you know that you’re going to be helping your clients in the right way, in the right area of their life and business and making sure that the outcomes are what they want.

Become An Amazing Coach Now!

A great coach is built up from a number of things which we go through at my Grow Your Coaching Biz Workshop but this one is particularly important to me. We go through all of the great questions, as a coach, you can ask your client. You will have a toolbox or a tool belt of all the great questions to pull out to use at certain strategic times to make sure you’re helping your client at a deeper level.

If you want to know what those questions are, all you have to do is join me for three days at my Grow Your Coaching Biz Workshop. I would love to see you there.
