Let’s talk about earning money in your business. Why is your business not earning you enough money? That might be a question you ask yourself many times. It might be many times per day. It might be many times per hour. I see a lot of people in business who seem to be doing all the right things, yet still not earning the money that they need to just pay their bills basically or put food on their table, or pay their rent, or be able to grow their business to hire somebody and implement new strategies into their business.

I am going to give you some ideas on why your business might not be earning you the money that you need or want right now. Firstly, it might be the systems you have in place. You might be in chaos and you might say, “Sharon, systems, I don’t even have any systems!” What are the systems in place? Are those systems really benefiting you? Are they getting you to where you need to be? Are you spending the time in the areas of your business that you need to be spending to get you to your outcome? We can all be busy on a rocking horse and not going anywhere.

The second thing is wrong clients and you can have right or wrong clients to make it really black and white. You may be targeting people that do not want your product or service. You may be targeting people who want your product or service but don’t have the money. Check in and go “Who is my target market really? Who is my ideal client? Am I spending time with those people?” If you’re talking to the wrong people, then they will never do business with you.

If you were talking to a room about “Quit Smoking” and they’re all non-smokers, it doesn’t matter how good your “Quit Smoking” program is, they are not going to buy it. Make sure you’re talking to the right people. The third thing is your beliefs. I hear strong beliefs from a lot of business owners that don’t serve them well. I hear things like, “Where I live no one has any money,” “I don’t have enough time,” “I don’t have enough money to promote myself for marketing,” “I don’t have enough money to grow my business or hire someone to help me,” “I’m not a morning person, I’m a night time person,” “If I had a better childhood, my business would be better.”

I hear all these things and to me sometimes they sound really silly, because they’re not my beliefs. You may have really strong beliefs that are no longer serving you. If you’re sitting there saying, “If I had or when this happens, I’ll be a success.” There are some really strong beliefs where you need to check in and go, “are they serving me well right now?” They might have served you well previously, but are they serving you now? Check in on those beliefs and change those up.

If you feel like, “Yes Sharon, that’s me, I have these really strong beliefs that I won’t make it, I’m not good enough, I’m not skinny enough, I’m not good-looking enough, I’m not young enough,” what are your beliefs that are going around in your mind? If you’ve got that going on, then I can help you change those beliefs up. They’re really easy to change. People say, “I’ve had this belief for so long, how do I change that up?” I can help you change it immediately. They’re my three things today: Check in on your systems. Make sure that you are following systems that are going to get you to your goal, make sure you’re talking to the right people, your ideal clients, and thirdly, check in on your beliefs and get help to get them changed if need be.
